Term: 12 months

Number of positions available: 1

Intake Date: Monday, January 9, 2023

Minimum Qualifications: Must currently be enrolled in a recognized and accredited Canadian post-secondary institution throughout the duration of the co-op term. You must also be returning to a post-secondary institution after the co-op term is completed. Depending on the needs and location of the team, you will need to work PST or MDT or relocate to a specific office (Vancouver or site-based)

Desired Background: For this position, we are specifically targeting students who have a background in Business who have an interest in business analytics, data quality, and continuous improvement

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the quality of data that the Teck Digital Systems organization uses to make informed decisions
  • Research and resolve errors within the database
  • Collaborate with developers to improve data collection and processes
  • Support testing of system performance and design, as well as its effect on data quality
  • Document processes as it relates to data collection


Qualifications

  • Background in Business is preferred
  • Interest in continuous improvement and automation of data collection methods
  • Able to work effectively independently as well as part of the team
  • Proven ability to learn innovative technologies and platforms quickly, accurately, and efficiently
  • Ability to communicate with precision in a technical environment
  • Able to articulate complex concepts clearly and in a way a diverse audience would understand
  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
