NEWest Alliance is a multidisciplinary collaboration between CPB Contractors and Downer, working with the Public Transport Authority to deliver two projects (Yanchep Rail Extension and Thornlie-Cockburn Link) as part of METRONET.

As a Contract Administrator reporting to the Senior Contract Administrator for Downer, based in Butler, you will be part of a supportive and collaborative team of environment and sustainability professionals responsible for supporting our construction operations. We are seeking talented, motivated and enthusiastic professionals that are keen to progress their career on a one of Western Australia's largest infrastructure projects.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:
  • Work collaboratively with the wider NEWest Procurement team to achieve the best outcome for the project
  • Updating YRE stations procurement schedule
  • Developing SOWs with the wider station's teams for both Projects
  • Development and issue of ITT's to market via Felix - this includes wider project packages
  • Provide detailed evaluation of supplier's prices / capabilities to allow informed engagement decisions to be made
  • Variation compilation & pricing
  • Assist in preparation of NEWest feasibility / budget reporting on a monthly basis
  • Risk and Opportunity evaluation
  • Assist in Cost accruals and provide input into NEWest monthly cost report
  • Assist in preparation of contractual notices with the Stations Team and wider NEWest Team
  • Conduct project risk analyses and develop controls relating to procurement.
  • Ensure that operational activities meet the requirements of the statute, relevant regulations and standards by ensuring that appropriate references are made in subcontracts
  • Continue and further develop the successful relationships with CPB Contractor's Subcontractors & Suppliers
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements and all relevant Company and Group policies and processes
  • Assist in assessing contractors' monthly claims and providing assessment to the wider NEWest team to process payments

ABOUT YOU
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management from a recognized institution Minimum 3 years' experience in environmental management
  • Minimum 5 years' experience within a Procurement / Commercial role
  • Manage self and others to deliver work to between $1M and $10M
  • Interpretation and application of contracts
  • Skills in resolving issues and overcoming obstacles that may arise
  • Skills in data and administrative management practices and procedures.
  • Relevant computer packages; use of word processing, spread sheet, databases and email software.
