Reporting to the Manager, Software Development - Digital Operations, the contractor will be a crucial member of the Teck Digital Systems team responsible for software development in the Mine Engineering domain. Activities include software development of web-based applications, system design, specification, estimation, quality assurance, and integration with vendor systems and custom-built systems. Key deliverables are a custom web application for the cloud platform and the regionalization of the Web Application framework.

Responsibilities:

• Proven experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery of custom solutions using the Microsoft Technology Stack.
• Source Management using Git within a distributed team.
• Experience with Release Management, Quality Assurance, and Change Management.
• Software Development background including the development of distributed applications.

Qualifications:

• Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety rules and procedures.
• At least 5 years of experience developing with the following technologies: NET Core 3, EventHub Services, CosmosDB, SQL, Azure SQL, Vue 3, SignalR, & Azure Function Service
• Experience in building applications for the cloud platform.
• Experience with securing applications using Azure AD.
• Extensive experience writing unit tests for back-end and front-end code, with strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with managing backlog, planning, and estimating work, and conducting peer reviews for other software developers.
• Familiarity with Agile development processes, Scrum, Kanban, and Azure DevOps processes.
• Deep unit testing experience
• Web API experience
• Front and back-end development experience
• SQL & Entity Framework experience
• Cloud based development experience (Azure, AWS, or GSuite)
• Agile Experience working in a Scrum environment
• Senior or Lead Developer experience
• Self-motivated, willing to learn new processes and technologies.
• A good team player thriving in a collaborative team.
• Team leader, able to help guide more junior members of the team to successful delivery.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage various business and technical stakeholders.
• Can work independently and efficiently self-manage.
• Business Analysis and implementation experience for software development projects and Spanish language proficiency are an asset
