About the Rothsay Project

The Rothsay Gold Mine is located approximately 80km east of Perenjori WA and approximately 400kms from Perth Airport or 1 hr flight from Perth. The scope of this project includes mine development (2 boom capital and single boom narrow vein) and mine production (narrow vein longhole stoping). Redpath has a modern underground fleet making it an exciting opportunity for operators and tradespeople alike.

The role involves
  • Working an 8 days on, 6 days off roster
  • Identify the safest, most effective and efficient methods of work
  • Conduct weekly audits with the H&S rep and staff to ensure mine site compliance
  • Establish training requirements each week with the relevant supervisors
  • Ensure that completed training has been signed off and recorded
  • Ensure that task observations are being conducted by all supervisors as per safety plan


We are looking for
  • Cert IV in OHS and Training & Assessment
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a safety professional role within mining, preferably underground
  • Current ICAM qualification
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Valid manual drivers licence
  • National Police clearance within last 6 months advantageous
  • A positive work ethic and attitude in keeping with Redpath's motto, Consider it done - safely.
