Trainer - Metallurgy - Indonesia.

We are currently working with a global mining company that operates a $multimillion copper gold mine in Indonesia. Due to them entering an expansion phase of the project they are now looking for a Metallurgical Trainer to be based in their thriving operation in Indonesia. You will need to have previous metallurgical and training experience within $multimillion copper mining projects.

The role of Metallurgical Trainer will be responsible for technical assistance and support to the metallurgical section, by offering mentoring and training to improve the ability of the team to optimise the plant.

Duties of the Metallurgical Trainer include -
  • Responsibility for the successful management and development of training programs.
  • Mentoring and training members of the team to improve plant optimisation.
  • Ensure safety standards are met in line with HSE and compliance is known throughout the team.
  • Be a driver of skill transfers and aim to increase competencies and skills throughout the junior staff.
  • Implement systems to maximise utilisation of the metallurgist focusing on problem solving and improvements for long and short term.
  • Produce training programmes that will include practical and theoretical training to match the current plant strategy.

Required experience-
  • 2+ years of experience in training and technical development.
  • 5+ years experience working as a metallurgist with strong technical knowledge around flotation, comminution and dewatering.
  • Strong ability to task assign and build working relations, including a balance of assertiveness and cooperation.
