Position summary
A challenging new opportunity has become available for a Workers Compensation Payroll Specialist. to join our payroll operations team. Reporting to the Group Manager Payroll Operations and based in either Sydney or Melbourne, this critical role will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to facilitate and ensure on time and accurate payment of workers compensation benefits.
This role will be responsible for
  • Managing the end-to-end workers compensation payment and reimbursement process, including processing forms and maintaining accurate wage variations on worker's compensation payments
  • Providing subject matter expertise in relation to workers compensation payments
  • Deliver timely response and resolution of all workers compensation payroll related queries and escalations
  • Identify continuous process improvement opportunities to optimise efficiency and accuracy
  • Preparation of reporting for transparency, reimbursement and reconciliation
  • Ensuring compliance with internal controls, documentation standards and regulatory requirements
The successful applicant will bring to the role

• Extensive experience in managing workers compensation payments and reimbursement for large organisations
• Exceptional customer service, interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrable understanding of EBA/Award interpretation and workers compensation legislation.
• Experience working with various payroll systems
• Tertiary qualification discipline in accounting, business, or a related discipline would be highly desirable
