Looking to take the next step in your career? Hatch is currently seeking a highly motivated Procurement Specialist to join our Project Delivery Group (PDG) in Perth.

PDG helps clients reach their business goals through a range of strong technical capabilities. We ensure world-class project delivery through the skills of our people, methodologies, governance, and systems. Our engineering and project management and construction disciplines ensure safe, efficient, and sustainable delivery of projects globally across the metals and mining, infrastructure, and energy sectors.

As the successful candidate, you will:

  • Establish Procurement strategies and plans
  • Prepare and issue of invitation to tender documents
  • Complete commercial evaluation of submitted tenders, including liaison with engineering representatives
  • Use integrated digital systems to deliver procurement activities
  • Evaluate departures to client terms and conditions and liaison with client legal representatives
  • Develop of recommendation to award and contract documents
  • Post award management of awarded contracts, including expediting, logistics co-ordination, correspondence control, evaluation of contractor payments, evaluation of variation requests etc.


You will bring to the role.

  • Minimum of 8 years practical experience in similar roles.
  • Procurement experience in the mining and resource industry, specifically the acquisition of capital equipment/materials
  • Good understanding of supply and works contracts terms and conditions and an ability to manage and negotiate these with contractors
  • A firm understanding of procurement processes and corporate governance principles for both Pre and Post award activities
  • The ability to interface and communicate with internal stakeholders to achieve efficient cost-effective delivery of procurement services.
  • Familiar using digital project delivery systems for Procurement activities.
