We are looking for a Senior Specialist - Data Quality (SACM) who will be responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of the data in the Asset and Configuration Management databases. The role will work in close collaboration with the IT Asset & Configuration Management team in developing and implementing the processes required to maintain accurate information in the toolsets, as well the KPI's and metrics used to determine the quality of the data. The role will be required to audit and monitor our toolsets and data and report back or action the areas that require improvements.

Reporting to the Manager Service Asset and Configuration Management and working in a collaborative and exciting environment within our IS&T (Information System & Technology) function, you will:
  • Ensure that data quality is maintained and appropriately managed across Rio Tinto's AMDB and CMDB toolsets
  • Assist and work with all configuration/asset and service line owners to improve CMDB and AMDB data accuracy
  • Develop, monitor, and manage Data Quality metrics and KPIs
  • Oversee the completion of audits to ensure compliance to Asset and configuration data quality standards and procedures
  • Ensure that toolset design evolves with time, either to provide additional services or to improve quality of existing services
  • Review and co-develop processes which update the CMDB and AMDB toolsets and ensure they are effective
  • Make and deploy improvements to ongoing processes where required

What you'll bring

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
  • Commitment to safety of yourself and your team
  • Expertise in ITIL framework and IT Service Management
  • Expertise in either Asset or Configuration management
  • Experience of Physical asset management principals and standards including data types and structures
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge in data transformation, data loading and continuous process improvement
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, negotiation and communication skills including the ability to influence, resolve conflict and eliminate roadblocks

It will also be beneficial if you have:
  • Experience with ServiceNow, Flexera or similar asset management systems
  • Experience with managing customer service levels and expectations
