Job Details

Our client, a rapidly growing gold miner with an impressive portfolio of assets, currently seeks a Mill Manager with CIL flotation experience to look after their new asset. The group is in multiple continents and they have a strong track record of promoting people internationally, inclusive of family relocation.

While this particular asset is reasonably small by group and market standards, it is highly profitable and offers a strong Plant Manager the chance to have wider commercial control inclusive of Supply Chain.  This may especially appeal to a candidate with General Manager aspirations.

Reporting to the General Manager, the candidate will be responsible for:

  • Management of the Process team.
  • Oversight of plant related Supply Chain.
  • Working closely with the Maintenance department.
  • Budgeting, and planning production costs.
  • Maintaining high Health and Safety standards.
  • Building a new development plan for the plant which adapts to government regulations.
  • Developing and maintaining good community relationships.
  • Coaching and mentoring the national staff.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified Metallurgist who has a minimum of 15 years of metallurgical experience in gold with proven management skills. French is essential.

This role could be FIFO or residential. The site is located close to a large city which offers an exceptional environment with good schools, residential areas, restaurants, and beaches.
