RESPONSIBILITIES:

This is a leadership position to supporting the Supt Maintenance Planning in asset and work management whilst maintaining the Bissa-PWH/Bouly Fixed plants. Mentor, coach the planners into managing all the maintenance weekly plans/schedules for the whole process plant and all the disciplines – fixed plant mechanical, Power house , Bouly mobile plant mechanical/electrical, electrical, and instrumentation with accurate, safe and understandable work instructions, together with suitable spare parts and in a coordinated timely manner. Working roster back to back with the Supt Maintenance Planning to ensure ongoing works and Bissa planner support continues.

  • To ensure a high personal safety awareness and high standard of safety performance within the planning section;
  • Implement and incorporate safe work practices into all Planning Section deliverables, in particular the preparation of weekly schedule work orders and JSA’s where applicable;
  • Operate and maintain the maintenance planning systems using company SAP mainframe;
  • Maintain the resource library and maintenance planning resource area;
  • Support and implement long term, short term, weekly plan/schedule planning process;
  • Ensure weekly scheduled meetings with appropriate maintenance and production personnel progress and continue;
  • Log and save accurate scopes of work for the weekly schedule for use by planners;
  • Manage the non-outage maintenance backlog by ensuring all work orders completed are closed;
  • To ensure Planners are to deliver feasible and well-prepared weekly schedule to be delivered to supervisors (and other stakeholders) on time and in line with business objectives;
  • Drive and review systems for high quality work orders by attaching appropriate work and safety procedures and a detailed work scope;
  • Preparing and progress reporting on the maintenance budget biannually, annually, monthly;
  • Revise, monitor and control all critical spares and general operational spares required for the weekly, monthly annual schedule and liaise with the warehouse;
  • Maintain all maintenance manuals, equipment documentation and ensure they are present and up-to-date;
  • Improve weekly schedule performance by meeting maintenance planning KPIs and delivering weekly feedback meeting with all the maintenance supervisors and engineers;
  • Inspect tasks and communicate with supervisors during weekly tasks in the field to improve standard Jobs information and part requirement;
  • Maintain and update information into the SAP system when required;
  • Participate in all SAP training but not limited to the maintenance module;
  • Train and assist all maintenance personnel in the use of SAP;
  • Report and follow up with any problems related to SAP;
  • Responsible for preparing and conducting weekly performance reports for both management, dept manager and for maintenance personnel;
  • Communicate daily with Supervisors, Engineers and tradespersons in the view of improving the maintenance weekly schedule process and system;
  • Internal - Maintain regular communication with key personnel within the Process Plant such as Operations, Training, Planning, and the plant maintenance supervisors;
  • External - Establish and maintain good communications with specialist contractors and critical suppliers.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Trade Qualification or Engineering diploma in mechanical or electrical discipline;
  • Post trade/graduate maintenance planning certificate or equivalent will be highly regarded;
  • High computer skills and fluent in all the main Microsoft suits including Excel, Word and MS Project;
  • Minimum of 5 years practical trades experience in Electrical/Mechanical Mining fixed plant environment, both trades an advantage;
  • Minimum of 5 year’s experience of maintenance planning in Mining fixed plant environment;
  • Minimum of 5 years SAP and power IB experience;
  • Minimum of 5 year’s experience of shutdown planning;
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a mining fixed plant.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

  • Rotation schedule 6 weeks on site, 3 weeks offsite (including travels);
  • Comfortable conditions on site.
