What You Will Do

Kinross's corporate office internship program, Gold Rush, is looking for an intern to join Kinross's Enterprise Applications & PMO. The intern will be a member of the Business Analysis Centre of Excellence within the Global IT Business Applications & Project Management Office (PMO). The primary purpose of the role is to provide business analysis, project management, and application support to Kinross Gold Corporation's internal customers. This opportunity will enable you to:
  • Acquire knowledge of business analysis & project management best practices
  • Gain experience using a variety of digital collaboration tools not limited to Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft 365
  • Acquire knowledge of IT service management best practices & experience with using the ServiceNow platform
  • Acquire knowledge of end-user training & virtual training best practices
  • Gain experience creating end-user training materials
  • Acquire knowledge of enterprise portfolio demand management best practices


The Opportunity

An intern with the Kinross IT Business Analysis team will get an opportunity to perform first-hand business analysis on a variety of technology and business projects under the guidance of an experienced BA. The intern will also get an opportunity to work with some of the leading software solutions used across industry today. The teams you will be working with are engaged and high-performing and include approachable people from all walks of life. They are very hands-on and take mentorship seriously, so you will receive a lot of support, guidance, and training to gain the skills you need to get the job done. By the end of your internship, you will have developed tangible business analysis skills that will help you get the most out of your final year(s) of university and set a meaningful foundation for your career post-graduation.

Must Haves

  • 2nd or 3rd year student in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Business
  • Lodgings in Toronto for the duration of the placement
  • Experience using Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft 365 apps such as OneNote, Planner, To-Do etc.
  • Strong time management skills, the ability to meet multiple and competing deadlines
  • Strong writing, listening and communication ability
