Pueblo Viejo - Regulatory Affairs Attorney
Barrick is looking for aRegulatory Affairs Attorney to provide legal advice to the corporation on corporate, regulatory, labor and litigation matters and other general areas of law as assigned. Develop, conduct regular assessments providing support to the Legal Department. Support the implementation and performance of the necessary actions and controls to achieve the effectiveness of the legal matters and minimize risks.
Responsibilities:
Barrick is looking for aRegulatory Affairs Attorney to provide legal advice to the corporation on corporate, regulatory, labor and litigation matters and other general areas of law as assigned. Develop, conduct regular assessments providing support to the Legal Department. Support the implementation and performance of the necessary actions and controls to achieve the effectiveness of the legal matters and minimize risks.
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice to the corporation on labor, litigation and permits matters and other general areas of law as assigned
- Manage external labor and litigation counsels
- Providing legal advice to the corporation on environment and other regulatory matters, including compliance with regulations required for all activities related to the business
- Drafting contracts and other documents and conduct procedures based on applicable regulation
- Review and comment environmental and other regulatory documentation of the corporation
- Research and interpret laws, regulations, and rulings
- Prepare and maintain up to date internal legal reports to corporation and external auditors
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in Law.
- Master's Degree in Law (a Contracts or an Environmental and/or Energy LLM would be preferable)

- Well versed in all laws and procedures related with regulatory, labor, litigation and environmental issues.
- 5 years' experience in regulatory and contracts' matters for a global company or a well-positioned law firm.
