Dimensions

The Processing and Metallurgy team at Cripple Creek & Victor is responsible for safe beneficiation of the ore to recover the valuable mineral (Au). This include using various process fixed equipment and laboratory testing to determine optimum parameters to safe recover the mineral. In 2023, the Processing and Metallurgy group will have two openings for college students who are studying in the field of Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Chemistry for Intern positions.

Essential Duties

Summer intern positions begin in May 2023 and conclude in August 2023. The exact dates are flexible depending on each student's availability and our business need. Our internships are full-time paid positions (40 hours/week). As an intern, you will train and be mentored to support projects that may be assigned in the Metallurgical and Analytical lab, as well as the Processing Plant. Possible projects include:

- Bottle Roll Test

- Column Test

- Flotation Tests

- Analytical Assaying

The above duties and responsibilities are representative of the nature and level of work; other work may also be assigned.

Training & Experience

- Undergraduate students preferred, graduating in December 2023 or later

- Metallurgical or. Experience in mining/metallurgy and/or passion to learn about the hard-rock mining industry preferred

- Good communication, organization and time management skills

- Good understanding of engineering fundamentals. Valid work authorization to work in the United States for this position.
