We currently have an exciting position within our Infrastructure projects - Strategy and Growth Team for an experienced and enthusiastic Pre-Contracts Manager based in any of our main offices in NSW, VIC, QLD or WA.

It will be your role to guide the tender/early contractor involvement Engineering Solution in a manner that drives the best solution possible, increasing the likelihood of a successful outcome.

The responsibility of the Pre-Contracts Manager is to provide leadership, guidance around the Pre-Contracts activities, around the bidding and tendering stage. In this role you will lead the management of the life cycle of tenders, ensuring strategic winning solutions are embedded into robust tenders. You will lead and coordinate all aspects of tender activity that include Estimate, Schedule, Procurement, Engineering, Qualitative Submissions, Commercial and Legal, and Risk.

ABOUT YOU:
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
  • 15 years' working experience in the management of Infrastructure projects (Civil and Rail) ideally from a Tier 1 or 2 contractor and have previous experience in the management and performance of project teams.
  • Lead an opportunity through the tender lifecycle, in conjunction with a Project Development Manager, as an interface to an Engineering Team.
  • Ability to initiate, shape and manage work activities for teams, whilst focused on economic effectiveness.
  • Highly developed communication and negotiation skills, with a passion to motivate team, to articulate project expectations in a timely and clear fashion and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
  • Ability to examine complex issues, apply effective problem-solving skills and develop feasible and practical solutions.
  • Define and agree to deliverables in collaboration with our clients.
