Please note: This position has the possibility of working remotely within 150 miles of Phoenix, Arizona for a percentage of the scheduled work time, as determined by the supervisor. Description

Under general supervision, research, analyze and maintain the Human Resources Management System (HRMS) in support of all Global Human Resources (HR) organizations and projects. Serve as liaison with the HRMS support IT staff in resolving HRMS related problems.
  • Develop and create specifications for system interfaces and/or reports
  • Develop data mappings for employee data conversions
  • Process employee information by developing audit procedures to ensure the integrity of employee records in the HRMS and data repository
  • Monitor HR information needs and design new, or modify existing processes to meet changing HR requirements
  • Determine user needs and coordinate the HRMS functionality to handle HR information
  • Establish processes and monitor the HRMS and other systems to ensure effective integration
  • Conduct fit-gap analysis of the HRMS functionality with current processes and make recommendations for optimization
  • Provide End User Support, such as evaluating, testing and documenting the HRMS functionality
  • Prepare the HRMS test scripts and conduct user acceptance tests for the HRMS
  • Serve as liaison with the HR Management User Communities on special projects and provide system related advice and recommendations
  • Evaluate and analyze user requests on the HR system batch data loads and recommend best methodology for achieving optimum results
  • Create test scripts, perform system tests and data validations prior to coordinating data load into production environment
  • Research and resolve HRMS related issues; track, monitor and follow up on all issues for timely resolution
  • Perform other duties as requested


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

This position requires air travel. In accordance with Freeport-McMoRan's requirement for all employees whose job requires travel by air, if you are hired you will be required to submit proof that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in order to travel by air, unless the company has granted a medical or religious accommodation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Computer Information Systems, closely related field or equivalent experience/education and, at least five (5) years of Human Resources related experience including at least three (3) years of experience using a HRMS as a subject matter expert

OR
  • High School Diploma/GED and at least nine (9) years of Human Resources related experience including at least five (5) years of experience using a HRMS as a subject matter expert.

  • Payroll Experience

  • Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English
  • Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards
  • Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment
  • Position is in busy, non-smoking office located in downtown Phoenix, AZ
  • Location requires mobility in an office environment; each floor is accessible by elevator
  • Must be able to frequently sit, stand, and walk
  • Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to ten (10) pounds
  • Work at business units (e.g., auditing) may require long work days, compressed time-tables, and exposure to harsh outdoor elements
  • Willing to travel twenty-five percent (25%)
