Your role will consist of

  • We align with State, Federal and Newmont Policies and Procedures regarding Safety and Environmental regulations and standard methodology.
  • We troubleshoot; repair and rebuild equipment and machinery related to process operations i.e. Mill, ADR, and Crusher etc.
  • We maintain electrical systems, plants and perform different types of repairs as necessary.
  • We inspect, maintain and repair electrical circuits, equipment, motors, starters, MCCs and other assorted electrical systems and components.

Your Training, Skills & Experience

  • Able to drive a motor vehicle, and must possess a valid driver's license with at the least one year of driving experience
  • Able to read, write and possess basic math and science skills to complete daily reporting requirements.
  • Ability to install conduit and Electrical Circuits
  • Accurately size conduit and wire per NEC
  • Accurately detail modifications on all drawings
  • Ability to work alone on PM's and Troubleshooting of all Circuits
  • Show ability to accurately troubleshoot circuits up to 4160V
  • Display ability to train the lower Tech levels
  • Ability to make decisions without assistance
  • Solid understanding of NEC
  • Understanding of PLC's
  • Ability to install and program VFDs
  • Splice 4160V Cables accurately and proficiently
  • Advanced Knowledge of Instrumentation


Working Conditions & Location

  • You will work a 10-hour weekly day shift, based upon your ability to demonstrate a detailed understanding of the above requirements; you will be placed on a rotational shift and teamed up with a trained and experienced E/I technician.
  • The Cripple Creek & Victor (CC&V) Mine site is located at elevations ranging from approximately 9,400 ft. to 10,600 ft. above sea level. Workers in this position can be exposed to various conditions and work locations throughout this range of elevations and must be physically capable of working at this altitude.
  • Weather conditions change frequently and can become severe at times.
  • Ability to complete work tasks while exposed to weather conditions / elevation.
