Position summary
Downer Rail and Transit Systems Division have an exciting opportunity for a Purchasing Officer to join our team in Maryborough (QLD)

About the role:

As a Purchasing officer you will be responsible for performing purchasing and inventory activities covering a diverse range of goods and services across the business. The role will manage key relationships internally and externally with time sensitive deliverables a part of your KPI's. You will evaluate quotations received, ensure preferred vendors are used and process requisitions through to deliver a valid Purchase Order. Other responsibilities include but not limited to invoice error correction, inventory/vendor management and maintaining accurate system data

About you:

• Experience in a Purchasing and Inventory role
• Experience with mechanical and electrical parts and suppliers
• Experience adhering to strict company policies and procedures
• Experience with inventory analysis and replenishment planning
• Proficient using ERP and MRP systems
• Strong Communication Skills
• Experience working in a fast paced ever changing environment
• Experience with invoice resolution with Accounts Payable department
