Position summary

The High Capacity Metro Trains (HCMT) PPP is a Victorian Government initiative and a $2.3 billion investment in Victoria's rolling stock industry.

We currently have a full-time permanent opportunity for a Contract Manager to join our team in Collins Street, Melbourne.

The Contract manager will provide input and support to the HCMT Through Life Support and HCMT Supplier teams for commercial activities as follows:
  • Tracking of claims, change management administration and assisting with the resolution of commercial issues
  • Managing compliance of multiple contracts including notices, extensions and variations
  • Contributing commercial advice to internal and external key stakeholders
  • Contractual administration and resolution with HCMT Supplier of warranties and fleet performance
  • Ownership of risk and opportunity registers and managing the end-to-end process
  • Supporting the procurement of long term service agreements with suppliers, including assessments and subsequent business cases

About you
  • Tertiary qualification in a related field (Commercial, Law, Engineering, Project Management or other relevant discipline)
  • 2+ years project experience within a construction, infrastructure, Defence or civil engineering environment, with a focus on commercial and contractual administration/ management
  • Exposure to the Rail industry, PPP's and/ or long term maintenance contracts will be advantageous but not essential
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, flexible and versatile
  • Exposure to commercial negotiations within a complex environment
  • Excellent understanding of typical provisions found in large infrastructure contracts
