About the role
As an Safety & Training Superintendent, your duties and responsibilities shall include the following as a minimum:
- Develop and implement training modules for the workforce;
- Conduct site inductions;
- Complete competency assessments for the equipment as used on site;
- Coordinate work place inspections;
- Coordinate communication meetings and risk assessments;
- Carry out injury management;
- Maintain safety statistics and complete the reporting for the project;
- Manage the development and implementation of safety management and training systems and materials
Candidate requirements
- Experience in a safety professional role within the mining, construction or heavy industry;
- Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent;
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment;
- Current first aid & CPR qualification;
- Current Incident Cause Analysis Method (ICAM) qualifications;
- Knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety and Workers' Compensation legislation in Queensland;
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to lead by example;
- Solid planning and organisational skills so as to prioritise and schedule tasks according to changing priorities.
- Ability to problem solve and be adaptable;
- High attention to detail;
- Outstanding integrity;
- Qualifications in Incident Cause Analysis Measures (ICAM) or equivalent highly desired;
- Strong customer relations management skills;
- Valid manual drivers licence.
- Strive for continuous improvement and innovation;
