We are seeking students who are looking to get hands on practical experience by immersing themselves in plant processes. This position will have the opportunity to tackle new challenges and projects and gain real world working experience. You will have lots to talk about when you return to school in the Spring!
The COOP Program position is in Jamesville, NY and will report to the Operations Manager.

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO
Support the plant operations in achieving production goals while partnering with experienced engineers, managers, and production employees in different departments throughout the Fall.
- Learn the operational aspects of the production, maintenance, and quality departments and different jobs and functions
- Complete projects to gain an understanding of the operations of a quarry and the industry, as well as drive efficiency improvements within the production process
- Participate in a program to provide students with work experience that is relevant to their major and complements their education
- Assist in various projects such as fleet management, production balance, or mix design formulation.
- Commitment and engagement through high level of work ethic and utilization of abilities for the best of the company
- Projects vary in scope and size and by the end of the program, you will have had the opportunity to work with some of our industry's best and brightest managers
- Assignments will involve learning all aspects of managing a quarry, ready-mix plant, or sand & gravel operation, including Mine Planning, Operations optimization, Quality Control, Maintenance, Safety, and more
- Opportunities will include evaluating the production equipment and mine layout
- Ensures compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as company policies and procedures
- Current sophomores, juniors, and seniors working toward a degree in Mining, Civil, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or Business Management. Or current internal employees who are willing to relocate and participate in the Tuition Reimbursement Program
- Someone who has an appreciation for the value of "boots on the ground" practical experience.

- Demonstrates openness to change, flexibility, and adaptability
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to motivate teams and simultaneously manage several projects

- Role operates in a manufacturing environment with moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, elevated noise levels, and dusty conditions
