Are you ready to work for a CAT dealer? Perhaps you’ve had experience with a dealer, and are wanting to return? An exciting opportunity has become available for a specialist HD Fitter – Warranty Support - PSG at Christmas Creek or Cloud Break!

Do you enjoy working autonomously, and as a part of a team? Do you have strong communication skills, with exceptional customer support at the forefront of your interactions? Do you have experience providing lead technical support on maintenance and warranty repairs?

This permanent role will see you doing ALL of the above, as you will be the specialist for a Caterpillar mining fleet. To be successful in this role, you must have an understanding of warranty provisions, and be able to assist customers with component warranty and replacement requirements.

The roster on offer:
  • 8 days on, 6 days off 12 hours per day (excluding 30-minute lunch break).
  • 2/1 roster (14 days on, 7 days off 12 hours per day (excluding 30-minute lunch break).

Ideally, the successful candidate will meet the following criteria:
  • Australian recognised Heavy Duty Plant Mechanic qualification (with 18 -24 months+ post trade experience).
  • Dealership experience (preferred).
  • Familiar with traditional CAT fleet OHT, grader, loader, dozer & additional/non-traditional fleet.
  • Strong communication skills, to assist with building relationships with team members and customers.
  • Sound diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong understanding of CAT machine systems/schematics.
  • Ability to confidently interpret repair and fault-finding guides.
  • Apply safe systems of work and implement risk control measures.
  • Complete repair documentation & service reports.
  • Provide diagnostic feedback to WesTrac support team/customer.
  • Advise on basic repair methods: CAT guides.
  • Assist customer with component warranty and replacement requirements.
  • Intermediate/advanced knowledge of Caterpillar ET/SIS-2.
