Reporting to the Operations Manager – Operation Support the Parts Interpreter will play an integral part in supporting our regional branch network from Perth.

You will be accountable for receiving and processing customer orders for Caterpillar parts and managing general enquiries, be it via phone and email. Ensuring accuracy and timeliness of processing for continued customer loyalty and the utilisation of WesTrac as their preferred supplier of Caterpillar parts.

You will possess the ability to interact with our customers and deliver a high level of customer service; responding promptly to our customer inquiries and resolve our customer requirements, issues or complaints. You will have the ability to interpret technical parts enquiries from customers utilising expert technical and Caterpillar/Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) systems knowledge. Working in collaboration with your branch colleagues to ensure a great customer experience.

You will also provide support to your branch colleagues assisting with general enquiries or resolving issues with internal stakeholders based in Perth on their behalf.

Location: Perth based in South Guildford, however you have the opportunity for site visits and providing leave coverage to our Kalgoorlie and Port Headland Branches, so some travel will be required during these periods.

Roster: 5:2Monday to Friday 50-hour week, (your roster will include working on public holidays)

To be successful the following is required:
  • Previous experience within a similar customer service role
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build and maintain successful working relationships
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to understand and resolve problems.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • High level attention to detail with demonstrated data entry experience
  • Excellent communication skills
