Maintenance Manager Outages and Turnaround

Location: Green River, Wyoming

Position Summary: The Maintenance Manager Outages and Turnaround will lead the completion of necessary maintenance tasks, including reactive and preventative maintenance tasks during outages, turnarounds, and regular operations. The rock star candidate will be highly organized, and able to communicate cross-functionally with multiple levels within the organization.

Responsibilities:

•Safe, reliable and cost-effective Maintenance Outages to meet or exceed business needs and objectives

•Development and execution of operating planning and scheduling and manage results against Maintenance KPI's

•Accountable to manage plant costs to budget during outages including unit costs, maintenance supplies and labor, integrated schedule with capital projects and engineering

•Leadership and oversight of Outages and Planning EHS programs and practices including Safety Leadership teams

•Leadership and direction to the Plant Maintenance team including the accountability for growth and development of talent within the organization

•Strong communication and partnership with other business areas to support safe, reliable operations for the Green River and Granger sites

•Champion the use of continuous improvement tools to implement Outage Optimization initiatives relative to safety, cost, capacity utilization, reliability and productivity

•Drive cultural change, implementation of Outage optimization and Maintenance Work Process, and continuous improvement mindset

•Manage asset utilization by effective outage duration and reduction of number of outages with culture mindset of doing maintenance the last longer (5 years+)

•Compliance with applicable laws and corporate requirements

•Other duties as assigned

Activities:

•Provide leadership and direction to implement EHS and manufacturing standards and best practices and build consistency outage process and planning across the plants/ sites

•Manage plant outages to meet the S&OP targets for the business including EHS, production (duration), cost, quality and reliability

•Accountable to develop, manage, and reconcile financial and business budgets, forecasts and reporting at the plant level

•Communicate with key stakeholders outages performance and strategic initiatives

•Partner with Plant Operations, Maintenance and Financial leaders to ensure the integration of outages and planning/ scheduling process and balance of production requirements across Westvaco/ Granger surface operations to optimize safety, production, cost, and reliability.

•Development and growth of manufacturing and engineering talent including coaching and mentorship

•Establish and report on performance objectives and KPI's

•Coordinate with Corporate and site resources to continuously improve safety, manufacturing costs and technology

•Manage the plant assets including the prioritization and authorization of capital and engineering projects execution during planned outages

•Develop appropriate responses to performance trends

•Partner with Human Resources in employee and labor relations and contract administration

•Champion ISO 9000 efforts within the plant

•Owner of Maintenance Outage Optimization and Planning/ Scheduling Processes

Required Skills, Education, and Experience:

•B.S. in Engineering or equivalent with 5 years of maintenance/ Outages experience OR High school diploma, minimum of 10 years of combined manufacturing and maintenance experience

•Ability to fit test for required PPE

Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience:

•Strong preference for an electrical maintenance background

•Five (5) years supervisor/management experience

•Oracle/SAP/ Excel skills

•Experience in PLC's, VFD's Foxboro, DCS and/or BMS

•Knowledge of lean sigma principles
