Looking to take the next step in your career? Hatch is currently seeking a highly motivated Electrical Designer to join our Project Delivery Group (PDG) in Gurugram/ Gurgaon – India. As the successful candidate, you will:
  • Be responsible for the development and production of 3D electrical models using Bentley Raceway and Cable Management (BRCM) or MicroStation 3D and 2D drawings and MTO deliverables.
  • Assist in the resolution of all technical design / layout issues as well as Co-ordinate with other disciplines through interactions, design reviews and strives to meet project safety, quality, schedule objectives.
  • Co-ordinate work with the lead electrical engineer, including taking responsibility for timely completion of deliverables.
  • Review, check and be responsible for quality of electrical designs performed by self and also of others in the design team, if required.
  • Prioritize project or program discipline actions for the purpose of achieving deliverable quality and adherence to schedule.
  • Prepare design concepts for internal and client reviews in collaboration with discipline lead as well as produce detailed engineering design drawings and documentation for the project.
  • Perform 3D model clash detection and coordinate electrical design with other disciplines through Interactions and Design Reviews.
  • Perform complex plant layout and electrical systems using 3D design modeling tools as well as perform cable routing and also publishing / retrieval of cable data
  • Responsible for electrical design work related to quantity estimation effort on project or program including direct quantity (MTO) take-off from a 3D model, 2D drawings, sketches and historical data.
  • Apply industry best practices, applicable codes, standards (IEEE, NEMA, CEC, IEC, etc).

You bring to the role:
  • Electrical engineering diploma from a recognized college
  • Strong 3D modeling experience preferably BRCM
  • Strong experience in MicroStation 3D preferably Connect Edition
  • More than 6 years of solid electrical engineering design experience.
  • Experience in the use of procedures and workflows in the execution of projects.
  • Experience within a large projects such as mining, power, petrochemical and refinery industries, in multi-disciplinary EPCM environment
  • Knowledge of industry or regulatory standards, regulations and codes pertinent to the design and systems related to the project
  • Good communication as well as interpersonal skills and safety awareness.

Preferred
  • Exposure to software platforms viz. SharePoint, Blue Beam, Scope list
  • Sound design and modeling skills for Industrial plant layout, electrical design and detailing
