The Opportunity - Governance & Standards Superintendent - 9-day fortnight working week

The purpose of this exciting, technically diverse role is to lead and govern integrity of Worsley Standards and Risk Management across Tailings, Electrical, Mechanical, Gas and Radiation areas ensuring that change control and design management processes are robust. The Governance & Standards team consists of Mechanical, Electrical, Civil and Geotechnical Engineers and Project Specialists.

Our integrated Bauxite Mine, Alumina Refinery and Port Operation is creating the essential products needed for a sustainable low carbon future.

This role will be offered on a Permanent basis.

Location

This role will be based at our Worsley Alumina Refinery which is a short drive from Collie (15 minutes), Bunbury (35 minutes) and other nearby scenic communities.

As there is no accommodation on site, you will be required to drive in, drive out on a daily basis. Employees ideally live within an hour's drive of Collie.

Accountabilities

Primary responsibilities are to:

• Full supervisory responsibility for the Governance & Standards team including development, engagement, vision, performance and results of team members
• Risk Control Ownership of Bauxite Residue Disposal Areas (BRDAs), Dams, Lifting and Arc Flash Material Risks
• Stewardship and compliance management of Global Industry Standards on Tailings Management (GISTM) requirements
• Provides Engineering standards and specification for Mechanical, Structural and Electrical plant and equipment
• Governance of Classified Plant (including Lifting), Gas Appliance and Piping, Electrical, Radiation, Pressure Vessels and Tank processes
• Provide technical support with Electrical protection, Arc Flash Management and High-Voltage Power Systems
• Engineering Change Management process ownership and governance

About You

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering
• Chartered Engineering status preferred but not essential
• Comprehensive knowledge of relevant standards, regulations and legislative requirements
• Experience with SAP ERP systems including data extraction and analysis
• Well-developed communication skills & an ability to work across various stakeholders
Technical: Professional that has guided, developed and influenced practice in the Asset Management, Engineering and Governance and Standards areas
• Operational: Has Managed projects and had responsibility for budgets development and management
