Job Details
To safely examine, install, remove, and repair shaft structures
REQUIREMENTS:
- Serious contenders will have a Grade 12 with Mathematics and a Minimum of 3 - 5 years shaft and underground mining experience;
- Driver's license is essential;
- Blasting Certificate is essential;
- Onsetters Certificate is essential;
- Timberman, Shaft Repairs Certificate is essential;
- Computer literacy in MS Office Suite is advantages.
CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Conduct Shafts inspections (loose rocks, etc.);
- Make a workplace safe in vertical shafts;
- Maintain and repair shaft structures, station areas and tips;
- Replace steelwork in shafts;
- Assist with the installation of structures in the shaft and on underground stations;
- Assist with general shaft maintenance;
- Actively participate in team Results and Progress Management (RPM's) meetings;
- Actively participate in Mini-Business Teams (MBT's) meetings,
- Achieve KPI targets and objectives,
- Conduct individual projects in the BI Pipeline with respect to time, cost and quality,
- Regularly submit SPARK Ideas via PPM,
- Actively undertake Business Improvement Peer Coaching,
- Display continuous improvement of 5S within work areas,
- Actively undertake 5s Audits, display results and communicate findings .
