We are looking for an Analyst Supply Chain Planning to assist in development and execution of the sales & operations planning (S&OP) process, which will deliver superior value across the value chain of our US-based copper business

This role is a great opportunity for a developing techno-commercial practitioner who is interested in driving commercial value through operational and supply chain excellence.

Reporting to the Manager Integrated Sales Operations and working with different operating sites, sales teams, and other support functions, you will:
  • Working closely with Sales, Logistics and Operations teams to optimise margin through schedule and contract decisions.
  • Providing insights into risks and opportunities, focusing on the 0-2 month period.
  • Contributing to improvements to the scheduling process to improve customer satisfaction and value to the business.
  • Actively participating in improving our technology and data solutions.
  • Assisting with operational reporting, organising commercial databases and creating visualisations to enhance decision making.
  • Supporting existing sales and customer service as well as new business development.

What you'll bring
  • University degree in either Business, Engineering, Logistics, Marketing, or related fields
  • Experience in commercial aspects of commodity marketing/trading and/or supply chain.
  • Analytical thinking.
  • Ability to work in multi-functional and multi-disciplinary teams and deliver measurable outcome
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated experience in prioritising and working through a networked organisation in achieving results

It will also be beneficial if you have:
  • Prior experience S&OP, supply and/or demand planning desirable
  • Experience in copper industry or commodities / mining
