Position summary

Downer Rail and Transit Systems is committed to providing the highest quality Rollingstock & Overhaul services for the Australian market. We are currently seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to join our team in Maryborough, QLD

About the role:

Our Project Coordinators provide project management and administrative support to the Project Office on all matters relating to the integration, coordination and control of production, procurement and engineering activities. To improve overall project performance and outcomes, you will be responsible for resolving or escalating cross-functional issues.

Role requirements:
  • Extensive Project and/or contract management experience
  • Support role; reporting to the Project Manager
  • Understanding of contractual obligations
  • Ensure financial risks are identified and managed
  • Manage client expectations
  • Actively seeking ways to improve work efficiency
  • Measuring costs, efficiencies and performance of products
  • Liaise with other project functions including planning, procurement, manufacturing
  • Provide support and consultation to ensure project compliance
  • Work unsupervised within a team environment.
  • A commitment to upholding a ZERO Harm environment

Specific desired skills and experience:
  • Trade qualified - preferred
  • Rollingstock experience - preferred
  • Knowledge of Rail finance processes - preferred
  • Strong planning, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Project controls experience
  • Knowledge of procurement/business management principles
  • Production planning and MRP systems
