The Role:

We have exciting opportunities for Service Technicians / Riggers to join us in the Hamilton region and you will also be able to help support other locations, with travel, as work volumes increase - when necessary. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, commissioning, repairing and testing Mobile Network, Mobile & ISP build, climbing / rigging work, across multiple client networks.

Reporting to the Field Manager, you will also be responsible for daily planning, organising materials, updating records and carrying out maintenance, builds and testing of Mobile - ISP builds / climbing and fault activity. You will be building positive relationships with internal customers and clients, and you will show commitment to quality work practices and ongoing quality assurance. You must be committed to actively following our Health and Safety protocols.

These will be a 40 hour a week, permanent roles based in Manchester place and working around the Hamilton region. The hourly rate is $35-40 depending on level of experience, plus overtime and allowances, plus tool of trade vehicle.

About you:

Suitable applicants will possess:
  • Positive can-do attitude
  • Experience primarily in all aspects of working with Radio equipment is desirable
  • Experience in building and fault finding on the Cell phone tower network, Installing MHA's, combiners, antennas and working on all Cellular Network Providers and also doing sweep and PIM testing etc.
  • Minimum Level 3 NZQA Telecommunications or equivalent, or 3 years similar experience in the industry
  • To be able to develop skills in commissioning and fault finding on equipment within the mobile / ISP networks at ground level, along with work on towers
  • Knowledgeable with reading and interpreting plans
  • An energetic personality and enthusiastic approach to work
  • Be prepared to be part of a callout roster ISP, mobile faults and climbing duties
  • Sound computer skills for record keeping is desirable
  • Be innovative and team focused and be able to generate solutions that produce results
  • Must be a self-starter, work autonomously and work well in a team environment
  • A verifiable championing of quality workmanship and a right first-time attitude
  • Strong health and safety focus
  • The ability to travel to other areas to assist the business as required
  • Clean drivers' licence, C2 would be of value
