Reporting to the Service Manager – Port Hedland, the Port Hedland Workshop Supervisor is accountable for the 'ownership of the customer experience' by providing the complete customer care experience in regards to WesTrac service, repair and general service provision queries in relation to the allocated area of service/equipment.

This role is responsible for the effective and efficient coordination of all matters of the workshop – including the sourcing of labour to meet demand, scope, scheduling, pricing and invoicing of the work required, whilst ensuring that the customer's repair and service requirements are achieved with agreed timeframe and budget. The Workshop Supervisor is responsible for providing supervision, leadership and work order direction to a team of technicians within the designated area of work to ensure safety and quality of work is of the highest standard.

9:5 FIFO or Residential. Residential role or assistance and housing available.

To be successful in this role the following is required:
  • Trade certificate with post trade experience
  • Supervisory skills in a similar role
  • Demonstrated understanding as to the importance of effective Customer Management
  • Previous experience within a leadership capacity
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to successfully manage fluctuating workloads and prioritise accordingly
  • Highly developed communication skills (interpersonal, written and verbal)
  • Advanced stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to establish and maintain successful working relationships
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with the ability to absorb technical information quickly
  • Intermediate computer literacy skills (including Microsoft Office)
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills to enable effective resolution of issues within the workplace and/or customer disputes
  • Ability to work successfully within a team and autonomously
  • Completion or attainment towards Certificate IV Frontline Management
  • Previous experience utilising WesTrac and Caterpillar systems
