Our Environmental Services Group (ESG) provides our clients with expertise in climate change , environmental assessment & management, noise & vibration, social impact management, sustainable development design, and water resources. With your help, we can build extraordinary things that co-exist, and benefit local communities and habitats.

The team is growing, and we are looking to engage experienced Environmental Professionals to join our US Operation in Pittsburgh, PA and Houston, TX.We are looking for someone that wants to be involved across all aspects of an environmental consultancy from developing high level conceptual project strategies to delivering against defined requirement to verifying performance outcomes in operation, to identify, develop and mentor new talent. This position will be involved in seeking out new engagement through existing accounts and new developing opportunities.

Your new colleagues

The Global Environmental team has a diverse range of backgrounds and experience across mining, infrastructure and power sectors. We work on projects where we develop legislative frameworks and pathways forward. We support our clients by developing documents in support of NEPA processes, and lead planning and permitting processes in a collaborative innovative way. We are involved in influencing engineering design to incorporate environmental and sustainability requirements. We are collaborating to deliver Climate Change and Advisory solutions addressing GHG accounting, strategy and projects around decarbonisation strategies. We work with our international teams on IFC and World Bank considerations. We speak with clients our material stewardship in collaboration with our civil, surface water and engineering engagements to develop closure plans and design for the end of life of a facility.

A typical day for you

  • Collaborating with team members across the business to identify environmental and sustainability engagement opportunities
  • Lead and contribute to business development activities, and developing proposals and estimates for submission for environmental deliverables (i.e., regulatory framework, Impact Assessment, planning and approvals for permits and authorizations, environmental design criteria, etc.)
  • Handling Deliverables for Projects including technical advisory services to detailed design support, to permitting strategy and implementation
  • Contributing to project planning and strategy development
  • Managing projects and client’s sustainability outcomes
  • Liaising with clients to develop project briefings and sourcing information
  • Applying a deep understanding of environmental and sustainability principles to solve complex problems
  • Producing deliverables and reports to meet client requirements for projects
  • Mentoring the environment team, and educating colleagues on environmental and sustainability commitments
  • Developing and leading a growing team of environmental professionals


Qualifications for the positions include:

  • Bachelor of Engineering, Environmental Science, or equivalent environment/sustainability related discipline
  • 10+ years’ industry experience
  • Passionate about developing innovative solutions to solve our clients’ biggest challenges
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to use basic theoretical knowledge of engineering principles to analyse, interpret and conclude project requirements and challenges
  • Ideally experience with undertaking technical analysis including Impact Assessment and approvals and managing multidisciplinary aspects, such as: waste forecasting, environmental design requirements, energy, water and waste modelling; climate resilience and TCFD; closure, air quality and due diligence
  • Understanding in sustainability and climate change compliance and policy requirements
