About the role

We are looking for an Administrative Assistant to support the Projects and Engineering Team at Rio Tinto. You will work on a variety of administrative activities work-life-related and communication expanding your skills across different areas.

Reporting to the GM of Projects and Engineering, and working in a collaborative community, exciting environment, you will be:
  • Managing daily calendars, meeting minutes, meeting actions, and tracking tools
  • Provide administrative support to the departmental manager and team
  • Maintain and create multiple files, records, purchasing, invoicing activities, calendars, and diaries.
  • Engage in other activities/ projects to support the team.
  • Ordering supplies, processing mail, work orders, filing, and document control.
  • Coordinating events, meetings, and expense reports both on & offsite for different teams.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders and service providers to resolve issues
  • Completing work order preparation, uniform supply for the team and office location, arranging business travel, updating visual information centers and systems including routine report requirements.

What you'll bring
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Valid state Driver's License
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Strong computer skills, knowledge of MS Office, Excel, MS Project& SAP
  • Must be a team player with strong communication skills
  • Must be able to work effectively and professionally with people at all levels within the company
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments with appropriate prioritization
  • Planning and organizing - time management
