Position Overview

We are currently looking for a proactive Administrative Assistant to support our growing demands at Buckskin Mine operations. Position will provide exceptional office administration support to a fast-paced mining operations with high expectations in Gillette, WY.

Office administration support duties may include: craft new hire onboarding, maintaining office systems, supplies, assisting with payroll distribution, document management, office clerical/support services, printing, mail distribution, greeting visitors, answering phones along with other assigned tasks.

This position is based out of Gillette, WY

Responsibilities

• Provide clerical and administrative support for HR Manager and/or other Department Managers
• Prepare outgoing mail and correspondence, including e-mails and faxes.
• Order office supplies and stock and maintain breakrooms
• Document management, including maintaining employee files.
• Assist in managing open-shop craft requisition and support recruiting efforts
• Assist in conducting weekly orientations to lead effective on-boarding process, including paperwork, applications, documentation and maintaining employment files
• Complete I-9s for craft hires
• Order and distribute craft hiring/ benefit packets
• Assist with various special projects
• Sorting and distribution of pay stubs
• Maintain required employment posters and affirmative action binder.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and SharePoint.
  • Organizational skills.
  • High school diploma and at least two (2) + years applicable experience.
  • Previous human resources experience a plus.
  • Must be a positive, pro-active, strong team participant with the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Proven ability to take initiative and build strong and productive professional relationships.
