The Commercial Analyst is someone with commercial knowledge relating to bids / proposals. The Commercial Analyst will provide commercial support and assistance to the Mining & Metallurgy (M&M) North America and other Global M&M offices on a as needed basis.

How will you contribute to the team?

To perform this role successfully, the candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
  • Participating in proposal kick-off and follow-up meetings .
  • Reviewing Request for Proposals (RFP's) and highlighting commercial issues.
  • Ensuring all aspects of RFP's are submitted for corporate insurance, treasury, taxation, and legal teams' reviews in a timebound manner.
  • Collating comments / memo's issued by corporate insurance, treasury, taxation, and legal teams.
  • Drafting commercial terms and preparing commercial forms for bids .
  • Developing commercial pricing models
  • Coordinating with engineering and project management disciplines to develop cost estimates / price sheets for services mandates.
  • Assist the proposal development and commercial team to prepare documentation necessary for internal risk committee reviews.
  • Coordinating with proposal development team in the development of bids.
  • Ensuring all commercial bids are reviewed with Commercial Manager / Commercial Director before submission.
  • Document all relevant commercial information for records and audit purposes.
  • Participate in annual quality audits.


Required Qualifications
  • Degree qualified in Engineering, Science, Business or equivalent.


Required Skills
  • Required experience in:
    • Commercial Governance
    • Bidding (Knowledge & experience in the win work cycle)
  • Strong analytical capabilities.
  • Detail oriented.
  • High level of proficiency in Excel.
  • Proficient in MS Word and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
