About the opportunity:

Our Surfacing crew in Hastings is rapidly growing with plenty of exciting projects to work on. We have opportunities for experienced and newcomer Asphalt Surfacing Workers to join the fun, dedicated, and supportive team where you will get to grow your skill set with various work whilst also having a good time with the team.

Day to day, you will undertake surface preparation and sealing and asphalt surfacing - from small maintenance patches and subdivision accessways, through to state highway carriageway resurfacing. You will also get the opportunity to operate a range of asphalt and sealing machinery, including trucks, pavers, skid steers, rollers, bobcats, and more. We have the best gear on the market and more shiny new toys on the way.

About you:

Committed to championing safe work practices and being a team player, we also expect that you will bring with you:

• A minimum class 1 full New Zealand Drivers License
• Previous experience working with surfacing is preferred but not essential
• Class 2,4,5 and WTR endorsements are also desired, but we can help you with this
• A love for fitness, as this work will require you to carry out hands-on activities such as shovelling, digging, lifting, periods of walking and standing
• A can-do attitude
• Flexibility to travel for work when required
