Position Overview

As an Equipment Technician, you will support Regional Construction operations. This position is responsible for the planning, scheduling, budgeting, utilization and reliability of a construction and mining equipment fleet. The position will deal with day to day as well as long term issues related to an equipment fleet. The position's main focus will be to improve equipment reliability as well as implement, monitor, audit, and manage preventative maintenance programs.

Responsibilities

• Work with and on various aspects of Kiewit's modern specialized equipment fleet supporting construction operations.
• Provide technical assistance in all respects of our specialized equipment business with regards to the support of Kiewit's foundation and power delivery business throughout our operations.
• Assist with various aspects of assembly/disassembly operations in support of our project schedules.
• Manage a schedule and coordinate all aspects of maintenance activities, from major to minor repairs including third party vendors.
• Manage open lines of communication with our operations to resolve issues timely
• Properly code costs and recording of all aspects of equipment repairs.
• Support of training operations with regards to foundation and power delivery operations
• Perform technical diagnostic and repair of the various manufacturers we operate.
• Employee will be required to manage all their own travel and related expenses.
• Training our operations' employees on Kiewit's equipment standards when on site to eliminate down time.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience in working with construction equipment and other specialized equipment.
• Broad knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems involved in heavy construction.
• Excellent technical skills accompanied by efficiency and time management required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of computer skills.
• Ability to work independently and resolve problems
• Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing with individuals at all levels of the organization.
• Ability and willingness to travel extensively to construction sites and satellite offices throughout our operations, as required.
