Position summary

DM Roads is delighted to announce it has recently been awarded the new Victorian Road Maintenance Contract (VRMC) by the Department of Transport. We will deliver routine maintenance, planned maintenance, defect and hazard rectification and emergency response services to more than 8,500 lane kilometres of road in Victoria's Hume region, stretching from Mitchell Shire on the edge of metropolitan Melbourne to the north-east corner of the State.

We are looking for an experienced Planning Lead to join our DM Roads team in Wangaratta to be a key member in the VRMC Planning and Performance Centre. The Planning Lead drives efficient use of resources to deliver prioritised road maintenance activities at the right time. This includes analysis of asset condition information, prioritising maintenance works into work packages, coordinating resources, developing and maintaining annual / rolling works plans, and; supporting the delivery teams with strong informed direction.

What you'll bring

  • Tertiary level degree or transferable experience in: Engineering, Project Management, Planning, or; IT
  • Management experience with the capability to develop operational plans that considers available resources, task priority and efficiency
  • Exposure to Asset Management systems and/or dynamic scheduling software
  • Strong project planning, organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to foster a positive safety culture
  • An adaptive and inclusive persona with the capacity to lead, develop and inspire teams
