The Role:

In this technically challenging role, you'll be a key member of our Wellington based Gas team, providing quality service and workmanship in the areas of construction, maintenance, and fault services for gas reticulation in the Wellington region.

This is a full time, permanent role paying $30 - $33 per hour (dependant on experience) + over time & allowances.

About You:

As a suitably skilled Meter Installer/Gas Fitter/Gas Technician you will offer many of the following qualifications, skills and attributes:
  • Registration or recognised National Certificate/appropriate Unit Standard as a Gas Technician and certificates with current practicing licence
  • Must have NZQA Level 3 Gas qualification or at least 3 years relevant experience is preferred
  • Must have current Class 1 Driver's Licence (car)
  • Sound knowledge of gas test and protection equipment, systems and procedures
  • Ability to work unsupervised and contribute to the first or second response standby roster
  • Heavy Trade licence preferred

You'll enjoy being hands on, working outside, and committed to getting the job done. Your previous work experience will also demonstrate a conscientious nature, quality focus and ability to work in both a team and independently,

You are someone who is organised and takes a disciplined approach to your work, as well as being able to think on your feet.
