We are seeking a Environmental and Permitting Consultant.
Description of Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively within a team of technical specialists to develop innovative, practical, and cost-effective solutions for a diverse set of global projects and clients.
- Consult on projects for North American and international clients, requiring some travel.
- Conduct work primarily related to the mining industry, specifically mine permitting, reclamation and environmental aspects.
- Preparation of proposals, budget estimations, project management, environmental audits, and due diligence reports.
Essential Requirements:
- An undergraduate degree in the physical sciences (e.g., Geology or Environmental Science) or engineering (e.g., Environmental or Geological);
- A minimum of 8 years` of experience;
- Experience permitting large, multi-disciplinary projects.
- Experience developing environmental management plans,
- Familiarity with regulatory permitting for large green-field or civil type projects, mine reclamation and closure plans experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of local (Alaska) environmental permit regulations is required, knowledge of federal environmental permit programs is a plus;
- Strong writing skills are required;
- Effective communication, management, and leadership qualities appreciated; and
- Ability to establish and maintain client relationships.
