The Corporate Treasury, Analyst role will encompass multi-Treasury related functions with the primary responsibility of overseeing the management of all incoming and outgoing Standby Letter of Credits & Guarantees.

This position would be based in the Mississauga office of Hatch and report to the Corporate Treasury, Manager.


As a successful candidate, you will:
  • Work directly with our Procurement and Commercial teams to ensure that all incoming Standby LC/Bank Guarantee security are in an acceptable format.
  • Collaborate with our Commercial and Business teams to ensure all Standby LC/Bank Guarantee security being issued to clients are in a format which minimizes Hatch’s exposure.
  • Liaise with key banking partners and EDC to formally issue trade instruments and obtain the necessary insurance coverage.
  • Track, diarize and manage the Standby LC/Bank Guarantee portfolio of instruments.
  • Assist with the global cash balance reporting and cashflow forecasting.
  • Maintain North American bank accounts and documentation.
  • Time permitting assist with insurance renewals.
  • Undertake continuous process improvement initiatives and advancing automation of treasury activities.


How You Will Succeed
  • Demonstrate a keen understanding of Standby LCs & Demand Guarantees, and the associated ICC Rules and Regulations i.e. UCP600, URDG758 and ISP98.
  • Maintain excellent interpersonal skills, with a particular emphasis upon influencing and negotiating in dealing with suppliers and customers.
  • Contribute to ad hoc projects as assigned exhibiting the ability to multi-task while maintaining a professional demeanor in support of Hatch’s Manifesto Driven Leadership.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
  • Proactively anticipate business needs and effectively manage their expectations.
  • Work collaboratively with internal partners across Hatch to ensure the timely and effective delivery of business objectives through proactive consultation and follow-up where necessary.

What you'll bring:
  • Demonstration of a minimum 2+ years’ experience in International Trade role specifically handling Documentary Credits and Standby LCs & Guarantees.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a similar field.
  • CTP designation would be considered an asset.
  • Good computer skills with programs such as MS Excel, Power Point, etc.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational abilities.
