Position summary
Downer's New Energy Business provides our customers with smart energy infrastructure solutions to help them meet their renewable energy needs and net zero targets. Our people work closely with our clients from concept through to delivery, actively engaging with them to ensure that the solutions we provide, result in the maximum energy savings and customer benefits possible. The New Energy team currently work with a wide range of customers, including Transport Authorities and Operators, Dept of Defence, Dept of Education, Residential, Commercial, Industrial and Utilities Providers.

We have a newly created opportunity for an experienced Project Support Manager to join us, based out of our North Ryde, NSW office. Reporting to the New Energy Manager and utilising your expertise in the solar and renewables markets, you will lead a multi-disciplined team to provide operational support to the business and lead the program and construction methodology for the region. Successful delivery will be contingent upon your collaborative relationship style, active leadership and participation in the key areas of Operational Support, Project Performance and Innovation, and Zero Harm combined with upholding the Downer Pillars.

ABOUT YOU

• Tertiary Qualification in Engineering, Renewables, Project Management or post graduate qualifications preferred.
• Proven experience in the residential and commercial solar industry including battery storage
• Demonstrable and successful project/operations management experience in a similar environment
• Established project management experience and project discipline to deliver project outcomes reliably
• Experience in process development and organisational re-engineering.
• Skilled in project start-up and functional cross skilled team leadership.
• Proven leadership skills, coaching and mentoring of teams to drive success.
• Proven ability to proactively build relationships and communicate with a wide variety of people including key stakeholders, clients, peers, colleagues, suppliers and sub contractors.
