Please note: This position has the possibility to work remotely up to 100% of the time. The position will require occasional travel to the Phoenix corporate offices and/or site locations . This position may be performed anywhere in the U.S. except California, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Michigan, Illinois, Kentucky and New York. Additional states may be excluded from remote work based on business factors. Should the positions shift to in-office work in the future, the company will offer relocation benefits at that time should the position meet the established eligibility for these benefits.

Description

Responsible for working directly with customers at various sites when needed and GSC Shared Services team on highly complex requests/purchase orders to ensure on time fulfillment of goods. Train, coach and support new and less senior team members.
  • Responsible for proactively compiling, monitoring, and managing Collaborative Planning report. Receives and reviews a wide variety of requisitions with in-depth knowledge around areas to ensure adequate stocking levels / recognize shortages and deficiencies, in support of customers in maintenance, planning and operations.
  • Manages urgent complex customer requirements from maintenance, planning and operations, communicating/expediting as needed.
  • Collaborate with assigned customer departments in maintenance, planning and operations to ensure needs are understood, documented, validated and requirements are met.
  • Obtain quotes/review bid proposals from key suppliers using parts information from customers in maintenance, planning and operations, monitor supplier performance, and lead supplier evaluations.
  • Trains and leads reconciliation of consumables at month end, maintain records of purchased items, cost, delivery, performance and inventory, and approve bills for payments within limits of delegated authority.
  • Analyzes data to perform root cause analysis on issues that impact inventory/procurement performance and implement appropriate corrective actions.
  • Communicate master data changes and additions (MARS) to appropriate groups such as BOM, equipment and material master data on behalf of the customer. Help update training documents in support of the team.
  • Ensure adherence and guide customers to General Accounting Principles (GAAP), financial laws (SEC), Company policies, internal controls (SOX) and Principles of Business Conduct (PBC) etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
  • This position requires air travel. In accordance with Freeport-McMoRan's requirement for all employees whose job requires travel by air, if you are hired you will be required to submit proof that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in order to travel by air, unless the company has granted a medical or religious accommodation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in Supply Chain, Business, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field, OR
  • High School Diploma/GED and seven (7) years of experience in Supply Chain, Business, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field.


Criteria/Conditions:
  • Travel up to 75%
  • Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hart hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required.
