The joint venture between SNC-Lavalin and Aecon has been awarded a contract with Ontario Power Generation (OPG) to carry out the Darlington Retube and Feeder Replacement (RFR) project. The project involves refurbishment of all four reactors at the Darlington Generating Station and consists of two phases - a Definition Phase and an Execution Phase. The Definition Phase includes the construction of a full-scale reactor mock-up to simulate key elements of the refurbishment work, and the development, procurement and testing of specialized tooling required for the project. The Execution Phase involves refurbishment of the reactor cores using the tools and methods that were developed and tested during the Definition Phase.

How will you contribute to the team?

To perform this role successfully, the individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
  • Provide support to the Project Manager and Engineering Manager as required.
  • Interface between Engineering, Quality, Document Control and Procurement teams.
  • Coordination of engineering document reviews and vendor documentation reviews.
  • Utilize different software programs to generate reports for engineering and procurement (e.g. PM+, MyTrack, Asset Suite).
  • Develop Excel reports extracted from various data sources.


What will you contribute?
  • 2 - 5 years of field engineering, production and/or construction project experience
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.).
  • Time Management and organizational skills.
  • Previous Engineering, Procurement and construction experience an asset.
  • Excellent communications skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Able to travel between office and site on occasion, work from site office when required.
