What You Will Do

• Prepare reports for internal use, such as industry and target reviews.
• Financial modeling in conjunction with the Corporate Life of Mine Model and discounted cash flow analysis.
• Assisting with the administration of the investment portfolio including capital market analysis.
• Completing other projects and analysis as assigned, including a more substantial "term project" on a topic of mutual interest to the Applicant and Corporate Development Team.
• Updating of Corporate Development transaction databases.

Additionally, working from our corporate office gives you context about our sites and how they all tie into the broader portfolio, and impact shareholders and the market. The teams you will be working with are engaged and high-performing and include approachable people from all walks of life. They are very hands-on and take mentorship seriously, so you will receive a lot of support, guidance, and training to gain the skills you need to get the job done. By the end of your internship, you will have developed and enhanced understanding of how Corporate Development supports Kinross.

Must Haves

2nd or 3rd year student in Engineering, Finance or Business Administration.

A demonstrated interest in a career in mining.

The Applicant must have their own lodging in Toronto for the duration of the placement.

Strong communication and analytical skills.

Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to work independently.

Strong time management skills, including the ability to meet multiple and competing deadlines.

Nice To Haves

Language skills in French, Arabic, Portuguese, or Spanish
