About the Client
We are looking for a short term (approx. 2-3 months) Storeman for our Karumba Port Operations. This is a Karumba FIFO role from Cairns on a 16 days on /12 off roster (travel on work time). Hours 0600 to 1800.
Accommodation supplied.All Karumba employees are self-catering and a LAFHA applies.

Duties

• Assist in identifying cost-competitive and reliable supplies of materials
  
• Support in ensuring that all materials are ordered (and received) according to specification
  
• Accurate receipt and issue of all stock, Work order, and Project materials
  
• Picking Issues and Work order materials for distribution to work fronts
  
• Reconciliation of consignment notes and orders
  
• Loading and unloading stock and bin items
  
• Loading and unloading delivery trucks, accurately accounting for stock arriving and leaving the site
  
• Maintenance of accurate records of issues, receipts, stocktakes
  
• Ensuring the security of stores stock items
  

Skills/Experience

• Manual Drivers licence
  
• High risk Forklift licence
  
• Current first aid/cpr is desirable
  
• Attention to detail
  
• Effective communicator at various levels
  
• Must be physically fit & able to perform highly manual tasks
