Operations near and far

We are proud to be the largest gold producer listed on the Australian Stock Exchange. From our Head Office in Melbourne or our office in Brisbane, we work closely with our operations both local and global to safely operate and grow.

Who we are looking for:

We are seeking an experienced Geoscientist to be based in either Melbourne or Brisbane, to provide technical support and training to all asset team members.

Other key focuses of this role will be:

Assist the site geology leaders to assess technical capabilities required to execute operational requirements effectively and efficiently and support capability development.
  • Review Operational Geology process workflows through regular site visits, identifying gaps as part of second line assurance activities.
  • Design and refine sampling protocols for all Geoscience data collection programs.
  • Annually compile and analyse sampling and QAQC summaries for Mineral Resource Technical Reports.
  • Provide inputs for revisions of Mineral Resource Management Geoscience group standards to manage material risks

As the ideal candidate, you will be self-motivated and agile with a readiness to ensure that both high-quality work is met. Your finely tuned problem-solving and decision-making abilities will see you coach, mentoring and support multiple stakeholders across multiple sites to achieve successful outcomes.

You will be an exceptional individual and a high performer, with the ability to inspire, empower and focus your key stakeholders and deliver outstanding results.

Other experience includes:
  • Minerals industry value chain from exploration to closure (essential)
  • Operational across different mineralisation styles (including gold), mining methods and commodities (essential)
  • Sampling analysis and QAQC (essential)
  • Statistical Analysis and Data Modelling (desirable)
  • Governance/ Assurance experience (desirable)
  • Project management experience (desirable)
  • Understanding of regulatory reporting codes (e.g. JORC and NI43-101)

Please note: This is a full-time permanent role. You will ideally be based in Melbourne or Brisbane; however, we are open to other locations for the right candidate.
