Senior Study Manager

We are seeking the services of an experienced Senior Study Manager to successfully deliver complex studies for our clients in our Mining and Metals Business Line. Reporting to the Manager of Project, you will be responsible for managing large studies of mega-projects for key clients in the mining sector.

Detailed design for a Copper Plant Expansion Project.

The role is Perth based.

Key roles and responsibilities include:

Successfully deliver studies for medium to large sized mining projects through the development and management of robust study plans, budgets and schedules
Lead multi-functional teams including engineering, project controls, estimating and subject matter experts.
Liaise with client teams and key stakeholders to facilitate the development of optimum technical and project execution solutions and lead the team effort to create value for the client
Engage and manage external sub-contractors and consultants
Liaise with functional managers to resource projects
Report Project Progress and Performance metrics to Senior Management
Support Business Development activities
Mentor and develop team members
Work, live and promote Fluor's core values of Safety, Integrity, Teamwork and Excellence
To be successful in the role you must have:

Minimum 15 years industry experience with minimum 8-10 years of study/project management experience
Bachelor Engineering Degree or equivalent
Strong problem solving, and communication skills
Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams
Experience in engineering design in the mining industry, and the management of multi-disciplinary engineering teams
Excellent knowledge of complementary study skills and functions including estimating, project controls, change management, scheduling, risk management, value improvement, investment analysis, contracts, procurement, and construction
Understanding of key client value drivers
Ability to develop strong relationships with client teams
Exposure to major clients in West Australia
Experience executing large projects
Proven ability to influence across a broad organisation with multiple business units.
