Your Role

We are looking for a State Purchasing Manager for QLD to join our highly skilled team in Maryborough. Working in Downer's Rail business line, the role of the Purchasing Manager is responsible for:

• Managing a team of purchasing officers responsible for purchasing and inventory activities for the business
• Developing and maintaining key relationships with internal and externally stakeholders
• Managing escalations for invoice and cost centre approval resolutions
• Ensuring purchasing governance is enforced with optimal performance and efficiency of the purchasing function in QLD
• Manage employee tasks and personal development plans
• P2P reporting on deliverable KPI's for the region

About You

• Located in, or willing to relocate to Maryborough
• Held a similar role at a senior level, managing a team of 5 or more
• Experience with mechanical and electrical parts and associated suppliers.
• Experience with PO reporting, inventory analysis and replenishment planning.
• Proficient using ERP and MRP systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with Capital Expenditure PO management
