About the opportunity

WesTrac is currently seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to join our General Workshop Rebuilds Team. This workshop is responsible for performing rebuilds on large scale surface mining equipment for internal and external stakeholders across all of NSW/ACT.

Reporting into the Project Manager, the Project Coordinator is responsible for the tender, estimation, planning, coordination and control of nominated projects. The successful applicant will have excellent analytical and stakeholder engagement ability with a desire to drive meaningful and impactful work.

This position is based at our Tomago Branch working Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate entire cycle of projects
  • Identify the scope of work and provide quotation & pricing for multiple projects within minimal timeframes
  • Liaise with key internal stakeholders to ensure our customers receive superior service.
  • Combine your technical knowledge of Caterpillar equipment with strong customer service skills to promote, develop and sustain ongoing customer relationships & engagement
  • Communicate and coordinate all customer requirements in the workshop
  • Provide monthly and annual sales forecasts and progress reports
  • Manage the project budget and escalate issues or concerns for immediate resolution.
  • Deliver projects within the quoted hours and costs allocated to ensure WesTrac achieves financial targets

About you
  • Civil / industrial Project Management experience
  • Project Management qualification and Mechanical/Electrical Trade (desirable)
  • Demonstrated experience with Mining Equipment in a repairs or overhauls capacity
  • Sound knowledge and experience with Caterpillar equipment and systems (desirable)
  • Demonstrated experience in project planning, management and resource coordination
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong Microsoft Project or Project Management software skills
