At DPS, you'll find purpose, impact and huge opportunity. Join us and help make it happen.

A real endeavour, achieved with you

As Australia's multi-disciplinary advisory and business partner of choice for clients in defence, government and infrastructure, we deliver complex things that matter. It's not always an easy task, but anything worthwhile seldom is. Great things are rarely accomplished alone. We're building something remarkable. Now we just need you.

A real endeavour, shaped by you

As an Insider Threat Analyst, you will be part of a team who provide the monitoring and analysis of defence ICT networks and contribute proactive information to Defence investigative authorities about insider threats. To succeed in this endeavour, you will be:

  • Analysing IT security events and large data sets for incident response and supporting investigations.
  • Generating reliable and detailed reporting of security incidents while accurately communicating the risk and impact of a security incident.
  • Maintaining case management systems to track insider threat security incidents and investigations.
  • Developing user cases and modelling, focusing on insider threat indicators.
  • Liaising with project teams and external stakeholders to achieve team objectives.

A real endeavour, driven by you

Our work is highly complex and confidential, so there are some things you must have to fulfil this role:
  • A sound understating of security event log analysis, detection and response techniques within Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools.
  • Knowledge of networking protocols, systems and application event logging
  • Strong written, verbal and communication skills
  • You must hold a current NV2 security clearance or higher.
